About NextKey
NextKey Property Strategists is a Currumbin Waters, Queensland-based property advisory founded by Sean Lewis and Glenn Mayes. We help Australian first-home buyers, investors and SMSF buyers acquire turnkey house-and-land packages across NSW, QLD, VIC, WA and the ACT — through an anonymised builder network, with no buyer fee.
Our story
We started NextKey because too many Australian property buyers — first-home, investor, SMSF — were being sold packages that didn't fit their structure, deposit, or timeline. The result: vacant SDA properties, builder-finance defaults, and "9% yields" that never materialised because the build wasn't actually certified.
We built NextKey on a different model: zero buyer fee, paid by the builder network on completed packages, with a hard filter on who we work with. We turn down 60% of enquiries on average. That number isn't a sales line — it's our operating reality.
Our principles
- No buyer fee, ever. Our compensation comes from the builder network on completed settlements. Your cost to engage us is $0.
- Anonymised builder network. You don't know which builder is behind a package until you've decided you want it. Stops you from being steered.
- Historical numbers, not promised ones. Yields are framed against current market data, not pitched as guarantees.
- "No" is the most common answer. We decline more enquiries than we accept. If your structure or timing doesn't fit, we say so on the first call.
- General advice only. We're not a licensed financial planner, tax agent, or solicitor. We refer to specialists for everything outside our lane.
